Search Help
We've done our best to tune and tweak Intelligent Enterprise's Search so it always returns meaningful results,
but if you don't find what you are looking for...
Sort by relevance
Intelligent Enterprise's search results are displayed in chronological order, using the Re-sort option and
Relevance radio button at the top of the search page.
Extend your search
Use multiple search terms separated by or if you want to find documents that contain any
of the terms. For example, searching on wireless or Internet or sales will return documents
that contain any of these terms. (You can use a comma instead of or.)
Focus your search
Use multiple search terms joined by and if you want to find documents that contain all terms.
For example, searching on linux and enterprise will only return documents that contain both
words.
Search exact phrases
Use two or more terms within quotes if you want to search on exact phrases. For example,
searching on "wireless Internet" will return documents in which these two words appear next to each other,
as in "Wireless Internet sales were disappointing in the third quarter."
Drill down by date
If you know the month or year you want to search, or if you just have a rough idea of the time frame,
use the Date Range pulldown menus to limit your search to a specific period.
Search a specific site
Use the Advanced Search pulldown menu to focus your search to a specific site.
Try the Headline Hunter
If you can remember just a few words from a headline on our site, we can home in on the article for you.
Use the Headline Hunter right below the Advanced
Search form.
